Most of the work I do is commercial. I started way back in 1984 doing graphic design work for radio stations and farm seed companies. I have since created hundreds of images and logos for many fine businesses and some rather large corporations worldwide.
You may have already seen my work --you just never knew it was me.
Listening to the radio and watching the corn grow might not sound like a favorite pastime, but that’s how I got my start in this graphic design business. Most of my business and personal friendships can be traced back to a little radio station called Rock104, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I did all of their design work for FREE --just so I could meet the people on their client list!
Whenever the station needed a concert poster or other type of promotional flyer, I was also "the boy" that ran around town to deliver them. A business owner could see a sample of my work, and I was sure they would have some graphic design work that they needed to have done. This game worked really well for me.
That’s enough about Indiana.
This is a nice illustration that I created for a very fine gun company. It was used as a point of sale display for a line of gun lubricants way back in the late 90’s. I also designed the packages which (oh-by-the-way) earned me the number three place for the new products design awards that year.
Prestone Bullet Wax took the number one slot
--which admittedly looked pretty damn good for a bottle of car polish !
